The development at Garden Court Plaza in West Philadelphia is an exciting project that will comprise a six-story extension above an existing single-floor garage structure. This extension will serve as a seamless expansion to the Garden Court Plaza, a 13-story pre-war apartment tower located at 4701 Pine Street. The entire project, designed by BLT Architects, will boast an impressive 198,569 square feet of space (excluding the prewar tower), with 181,119 square feet contributed by the newly constructed floors. On the ground floor, there will be commercial space along with parking capacity for 66 vehicles. Additionally, a roof deck will be situated on the second floor, offering residents a delightful outdoor space.

The project is set to rise in an area adorned with many grand brick apartment structures of mid-rise height. By adding further density to the vicinity, this building is likely to catalyze future growth in the area.

Commuters will benefit from excellent transit access, as The 46th Street station on the Market-Frankford Line is conveniently located just a short walk away to the northeast in addition to SEPTA bus service on Spruce and Chestnut Streets. While there is no official completion date announced yet, it is estimated that construction may be finalized by Spring of 2024
